The Huskies Den and Recreation Center Update – 3.19

There has been incredible progress made on the remodeling of the field-house, now called, The Huskies Den and Recreation Center. Word of Life’s Projects Team is managing the project with excellence and I am proud of their work.

Snowcamp is operational and campers are enjoying the newly remodeled gym area. Volleyball, Dodgeball and Basketball  tournaments take place in the Huskies Den and Recreation Center. Here are some photos showing the space in use.

Currently the team is preparing the next phase of the project. Opening of the recreational area and additional meeting/lounge space. The recreational area will have pool tables, ping-pong tables, fosse-ball and many other games for students to enjoy. There will be soft seating located throughout this area for students to relax, play a game, read a book or hang out with friends.

The old annex area will now be a meeting space and lounge area. The Bible Institute has been in the need of additional smaller meeting spaces. This area will be used for Campus Preview Days, Missions Conference, Founders Bible Conference, meetings, and a space for students and staff to connect. This area has a ADA ramp for access from the inside of the building.  You will notice by the pictures that the area is blocked off from the main recreation center.

The main entrance is now on the side of the building by the Annex. This has been done so we can have one general entrance area and the side entrances are no longer in use. There will be a service desk for managing the area and ticket distribution for home games.

Over the next few weeks we will post additional updates.

  1. Wow! So many memories in this building. From being a “Rancher”, STC, and BI student. And listening to Jack preach by that fireplace. It looks great!
