New York Campus
Our New York campus is located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. Because of the location there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the environment and take part in one of the many outdoor activities that are available. There are also many unique ministry opportunities that students partake in. In the fall all students attend an Open Air Evangelism trip to NYC, during the winter months students help minister to teens at Snow Camp, and during the summer all students work at one of our summer camp locations. Combining environmental beauty with unique ministry oppurtunities our New York campus is a great place to start.
Freshman students attend class in the Jack Wyrtzen Center, which is located at the head of the campus. The building is also used to hold weekly chapel services for both freshman and sophomore students and is often the location for various campus events and conferences.
The Charles Ryrie Library and Study Center is a spacious and comfortable 2-story facility and is part of the Jack Wyrtzen Center. The Ryrie Library opened in October 2007 and seats 170 in the study and lobby areas. Students can access the Internet from either floor on the library’s 30 computer stations or connect wirelessly using their own portable computers. In addition to computers and seating, the first floor houses our 30,000 volume book collection along with periodicals and other study resources. The second floor houses a large study area with many more computer stations.
Throughout the year there are regularly scheduled events and activities on and off the campus. These events can vary from talent shows and scavangers hunts to paintball tournaments and gokart races. We also have several areas for students to study and relax.
Our student lounge provides a coffee house atmosphere for students to relax or study in. It is equipped with flat screen TV’s, video game consoles, a large projection screen for group activities, and a selection of various coffees and smoothies are available for purchase.
“Embers” is our snack shack, as well as another place for students to relax with friends or study. Burgers, pizza, ice cream, and various other snack items are available for purchase.
