VETERAN’S BENEFITS

Word of Life Bible Institute appreciates and respects the men and women who have served in our country’s military. We are honored to have you participate in our program, and we aim to make the application process as simple as possible.
Please Note: At this time, Veterans Benefits are only available for those planning to attend our New York Campus.

PROCESS

The first step toward using your VA Benefits is to apply online to Word of Life Bible Institute. You will then be assigned an admission counselor. Once accepted, you will be requested to pay the Confirmation of Attendance Fee.

You will also need to complete and submit the appropriate form to apply for your VA Education Benefits. The VA will process your application and issue you a Certificate of Eligibility for Educational Benefits. This certificate will state the type of benefits, the amount of benefits, the number of months of eligibility, and the date the benefits expire.

Once you are issued a Certificate of Eligibility, please submit a copy to the Word of Life Bible Institute School Certifying Official (SCO) located in the Page Center.

The SCO will complete the enrollment certification form and submit to the VA Regional Office in Buffalo, New York. Please apply early, as the VA may take up to 12 weeks to process your claim.

MINIMUM GRADE REQUIREMENTS

Students receiving VA Benefits must meet the Standard of Academic Progress (SAP) as outlined in Section II of the Word of Life Bible Institute Student Handbook.

OTHER DETAILS

In the event funding from the VA is delayed, the school will not penalize the student by assessing late fees. The institution will not require that student to borrow funds to cover amounts pending by the VA. During this period of delayed payment, the student will have full access to all classes and facilities.
Students with a credit balance can contact the registrar to request a refund
Students who withdraw from school are required to complete a Withdrawal Form through the Dean’s Office. Upon receipt, the SCO will notify the VA of the withdrawal date and of any unexcused absences. In the event the VA determines there was an overpayment of VA funds, you will be billed for the amount of overpayment. This overpayment will be due to the VA.
