John Barnett

Dr. John Barnett is currently the Senior Pastor of Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Barnett has been teaching the Word of God for more than 35 years. Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Barnett has studied at Michigan State University, Bob Jones University (BS, BA, MA, MDiv), the Master’s Seminary, Dallas Theological Seminary (Dr. of Biblical Ministry) and with Francis Schaeffer at L’Abri Fellowship. Dr. Barnett launched a ministry in 1998 called Discover the Book Ministries to provide electronic copies of his audio, video and text studies free of charge to pastors, missionaries and other believers. John & his wife Bonnie have eight children.

Doug Bookman

Dr. Doug Bookman

Professor of New Testament Shepherds Seminary

Dr. Doug Bookman graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and earned his M.Div. and Th.M. at Central Theological Seminary and his Th.D. in Bible Exposition from Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Bookman served with the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry as their National Ministries Representative from 1998-2009. Currently he is on the faculty at Shepherds Theological Seminary in NC and serves as their Director of Public Relations.

John Bouquet

Rev. John Bouquet has served as Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah, Ohio, since 1982. During his 30 plus years, the church has grown in membership and ministry. The Church is blessed with ministries to the community with a Mission to Amish People (MAP); Noah’s Ark Day Care and Pre-school; the Harbor, a counseling/prayer ministry and F.R.A.M.E. developing foster parents and encouraging adoption through the local church. He graduated from Tennessee Temple University and Ashland Theological Seminary. In 2011 he graduated from the Sandberg Leadership Center ‘Pastors of Excellence’ program of the Seminary. Since 1989 he has been a featured Bible teacher at the WOL Conference Center and the WOL Island and an adjunct professor at the BI since 1991.

Dr. Wendell Calder, a graduate of New Brunswick Bible Institute and Founder of Living Waters Bible Conference, is a well-known evangelist and camp speaker. He served in the pastorate for 16 years and began his present ministry of Local Church Evangelism in 1975.

Dr. Emir Caner

President Truett McConnell University

Dr. Emir Caner (Ph.D., University of Texas at Arlington) was elected the 8th President of Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia, in 2008. Dr. Emir teaches this course on Islamic Evangelism. He is the first former Muslim to hold such a post at a Christian college or university. Since that time, the college has quadrupled in enrollment and added 30 programs of study, including a new Master of Arts in Theology. In addition to leading the Baptist College, Dr. Caner has written or contributed to 21 books, including the national best-seller Unveiling Islam. Featured on secular outlets (including ABC, CBS, NBC and PAX) as well as Christian outlets (including INSP, CBN and Moody), Dr. Caner travels the world preaching the Gospel and praying for revival. He and his wife, Hana, reside in Cleveland, VA, with their three children. Dr. Caner and his brother Ergun have co-authored the required textbook, Unveiling Islam.

Dr. Christmas holds a B.A. and M.Min from Trinity Baptist College, and earned his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Piedmont International University. He received the teaching excellence award for the 2012-13 academic year and has been a guest lecturer at the Word of Life Bible Institute.

Dr. Christmas also has experience serving on a pastoral staff, and is married with 2 children.

Emmons Richard

As a Bible professor at Cairn for over 30 years, Dr. Dick Emmons has committed much of his life to knowing and applying God’s Word personally, then helping students to “fall in love” with God and His Word in turn. Within the realm of teaching Bible and doctrine, he specializes in teaching students how to study the Bible inductively & helping students to understand dispensational hermeneutics.

In addition to teaching at Cairn, Dr. Emmons has served as senior pastor at GraceWay Bible Church (Hamilton, NJ) since 1992. He has also served in Bible conference ministry, teaching at locations across the country.

Chris Eppling is the Vice President for Student Services at Truett McConnell University. He has 22 years of student ministry experience in local churches and teaches classes in Christian Apologetics, Christian Ethics, Logic and Critical Thinking and Student Ministry. He is married and has three children. His beautiful wife, Ginger, homeschools their two youngest; Charis and Daniel. Their oldest, Caleb, graduates from Truett McConnell University this May with a degree in Sports Management.
