The Bridge: March 4

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As this update is coming out, we are just entering our last weekend of Snowcamp! I have been so encouraged by the spirit and attitude of our students over the last seven weeks. They have served with joy and been able to witness the work of the gospel in the lives of campers. Through this time, it has been amazing to see not only campers’ lives impacted, but it is also students’ lives as well. Their upcoming break is going to be a great time for them to refresh and come back ready to finish the semester well.

National Invitation Tournament and Women’s National Invitation Tournament

On the weekend of February 17-19, WOLBI hosted the Bible College NIT and WNIT tournaments on our campus for the very first time. Both our men’s and women’s basketball teams were the number one seeds in their bracket, and both teams lived up to that by winning their respective championships. The women won their championship game on February 19th vs Patrick Henry College with a score of 66-38. The men won their championship game on February 19th vs Appalachian Bible College with a score of 97-88. It was a great tournament overall, with lots of close games and a ton of fellowship between the Christian colleges on our campus.
