The Pathways Program at Word of Life Bible Institute


Pathways combines a strong biblical foundation, life-giving community, accredited degree options, and hands-on leadership experience. It is intentionally designed to help students grow spiritually while preparing for a life of lasting impact – without unnecessary debt or delays.

Pathways gives students a clear, affordable route from Bible Institute training to a bachelor’s or master’s degree, while remaining deeply rooted in discipleship, mentorship, and real-world experience.

How the Pathways Program Works


Freshman Year
(WOLBI)

Students study the Bible in depth while building a strong spiritual foundation, forming lifelong friendships, and discovering God’s purpose for their lives.

Sophomore Year
(WOLBI)

Students continue growing as leaders through advanced biblical studies, discipleship, and increased ministry responsibility – preparing for what comes next.

Junior and Senior Year (Internship + Degree Completion)

Students serve in a full-time internship while earning an undergraduate or graduate degree through one of our trusted academic partners.

Bachelor's Degree Options Through Pathways

Liberty University (Online)

Davis College (On Campus or Online)

Students can complete their bachelor’s degree at approximately half the cost of a traditional
four-year Christian university while gaining real ministry experience.
 

Master's Degree Options in Partnership with
Dallas Theological Seminary

Pathway A

Bible Institute → Word of Life Internship + DTS (2+2) 

After two years at the Bible Institute, students begin DTS master’s coursework as they start an approved Word of Life Pathways Internship. 

Includes:

  • Online DTS coursework
  • Full-time ministry internship
  • On-campus community and mentoring
  • Approximately 50% off DTS tuition

Best for: 
Students seeking an integrated ministry experience while earning a master’s degree at a reduced cost. 

Pathway B

Bible Institute → Davis College or Liberty University → Dallas Theological Seminary (4+1) 

Students complete two years at the Bible Institute, earn a bachelor’s degree through Davis College or Liberty University, and begin select DTS coursework during their senior year –allowing some credits to count toward both degrees. 

Best for: 
Students who want to earn a bachelor’s degree while accelerating graduate studies. 

Pathway C

Bible Institute → DTS (Direct Transition) 

After two years at the Bible Institute, students may enter a DTS master’s program directly. 

Important Note: 
This option does not include the Pathways Internship, tuition scholarship, or Word of Life mentoring experience. 

Best for: 
Students who prefer to continue independently at Dallas Theological Seminary.
