Youth Ministries Coaching INTERNSHIP

Fosters personal growth and prepares participants to reach youth with the Gospel.

Program Overview: 

Purpose: 

  • Train young men for a career in Word of Life Youth Ministry as field staff.
  • Equip participants with the skills and experience necessary for impactful youth ministry.

Eligibility: 

  • Open to second-year graduates of the Word of Life Bible Institute.

Goals: 

  • Prepare participants to serve as Word of Life Youth Ministry field staff members.
  • Provide an opportunity to complete a Bachelor’s degree through a partner school during the program.

Structure: 

Interns will:

  • Live at the Word of Life Bible Institute, discipling students and supporting headquarters staff.
  • Travel to regions across the U.S., working with field staff in local churches.

Practical Experience: 

  • Engage in ministry visits, connecting with youth groups and pastors.
  • Assist in planning and executing local church youth outreach events.
  • Participate in Reverb youth evangelistic events in the Northeast.

Comprehensive Training: 

  • Learn effective methods for preaching the gospel to children and teens.
  • Gain experience organizing and managing outreach events, such as Fascar and Archery Tag.
  • Participate in Youth Ministry Core Training to build a strong foundation in youth ministry principles.
  • Serve as staff members at Word of Life camps during winter and summer.

Transformational Journey: 

  • Personal and spiritual growth through one-on-one mentoring and regional ministry engagement.
  • Develop teamwork and collaboration skills to align with Word of Life’s mission.

Finances: 

  • Cost: $1,500/month.

Support Raising: 

  • Interns will raise support to cover the program’s expenses.
  • Training for support raising will be provided through Via Generosity in August after graduation.

 

Youth Ministries Missions Reality Trip 

Program Overview: 

  • A seven-day experience for second-year Word of Life Bible Institute students. 
  • Designed to inspire students to consider the Youth Ministry Coaching Internship (YMCI) program after graduation. 

Activities Include: 

  • Visiting youth groups and teaching in youth and children’s ministries.
  • Accompanying staff on visits to pastors and youth pastors.
  • Assisting in local church evangelistic events.
  • Participating in youth leader training sessions.
  • Receiving one-on-one mentoring to build ministry skills and experience.
