Dear Parents and Loved Ones, This weekend holds plenty of activity on campus, including Fall Fun Night and our first Campus Preview Days of the year. As October comes to a close, I find it hard to believe that holiday breaks and the end of the fall semester are just around the corner. Dear Parents and Loved Ones, For the past several weeks, the Word of Life Quiet Time has been taking us through passages in Genesis. I have been struck by the faith of the men and women God used for His purposes in the Genesis account. I have also been encouraged to see that even when these people lacked faith, God did not give up on them. It is a joy to watch students growing through times when their faith is strong, and through times when they are struggling and in need of encouragement. Our faculty and staff are here to help them in both situations. If you have a student who is struggling, please have them come to me or one of our deans. We are here to walk through this journey with them. Intro to the Health and Security Team Dianne Spelter Health Director diannespelter@wol.org Dianne is a Physician Assistant and …

Dear Parents and Loved Ones, Our prayer is that your student is getting acclimated to life here at WOLBI. Please remember that we are here to help them in any way we can. Your student’s RA, RD, or any of the deans are here to serve, so have your student let us know if there is anything we can do. Our staff and faculty want to live out Acts 20:35b— “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Center for Biblical Counseling One of the ministry resources that we offer at our New York campus is the Center for Biblical Counseling (CBC). The mission of the CBC is to provide a private and safe environment for our students and staff to sort out difficult life issues and help them make godly decisions that contribute to their spiritual growth (Ephesians 4:13). The CBC offers free biblical counseling services that include …
The Bridge: September 30
Dear Parents and Loved Ones, As the month of September is coming to a close, students are settling into their service assignments and ministry teams here on campus. Throughout the year, these students will have the opportunity to show the love of Jesus by serving in a variety of capacities both on and off WOLBI campus. It is my prayer that God will use this season to give students a passion for sharing the hope of the gospel wherever life takes them. Intro to Ministries Our ministries team represents a wide range of staff in various roles around campus. Even though we won’t be able to introduce every person here, all of them are crucial to making our ministry teams, service assignments, campus events, and camps run smoothly. Below, we’ve included some of the main people your student will need to connect with during the year. Jon Bubar Dean of …
