INTERNATIONAL ADMISSIONS

Word of Life Bible Institute is a dynamic, multicultural environment with students from countries all over the world. We are excited to welcome international students to our campuses, and we are here to help make your application process as simple as possible.

Below are several steps to help you as you’re applying to both our New York and Florida campuses.

PREPARE YOUR ADMISSIONS DOCUMENTS

Your admissions counselor will help you determine what documents are required for you to study in the United States. Here are a few key items you will need:
A copy of your passport or ID page
English Language Test Scores (see below)
A recommendation from your home country’s WOL ministry leader
Translated and Verified High School Transcript
Financial Support Documents
People holding flags of different countries

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

All numbers are subject to change and are in USD.

Dependency Scholarship (Next Generation and Pastor/Missionary Dependent):

If you are the child of a full-time pastor or missionary OR if you are a sibling of a WOLBI alumnus, you can receive $1,000.

Alumni Encouragement:

If a WOLBI alumnus refers you before you submit your application, you can receive $750.

Church Matching Scholarship:

If your church supports you, Word of Life Bible Institute will match their gift up to $1,000.

Early Confirmation Scholarship:

Depending on the date of your early confirmation, you can earn up to $750.

Word of Life Student Fusion:

High school students can complete missions training in the US and go on a short-term mission trip through the Student Fusion program. You can receive a $1,500 scholarship if you participate in the summer following your junior year and a $2,500 scholarship if you participate in the summer following your senior year.

ACSI Scholarship:

If you graduated from an ACSI accredited high school, you can receive $3,000.

Academic Scholarship:

Based on your final high school GPA and essay, you can receive between $750-$3000.

Student Leadership:

You must attend student leadership training and be offered a position to receive this $3,000 scholarship.

International Summer Ministry scholarship:

You must be a student who has successfully completed a summer ministry with Word of Life, You can recieve between $1,000 – $4,000.

Worship Arts:

Who Qualifies: National and International Freshmen

Word of Life Staff Children:

If you have a parent who is a full-time MIT approved missionary for a minimum of 12 months, you can receive 70% off your tuition and housing and food.
Eligibility: Students must complete an application first. The Financial Aid Office will review scholarship applications. Those who meet the scholarship criteria are awarded funds as they are available.

SEND US YOUR ENGLISH PROFICIENCY TEST SCORES

WOLBI asks that all students with English as their second language complete an English proficiency test. After you take one of the approved tests (see a list in the chart below), follow the instructions on the test website to send your scores to Word of Life Bible Institute. Our school code for TOEFL is 3955. Please select “Word of Life NY” whether you are attending our New York or Florida campus.
