SPIRITUAL LIFE

Every day at Word of Life Bible Institute, you will have new opportunities to strengthen your relationship with God – both individually, and in community with other Christ-followers. Discover how the spiritual life on our campus will prepare you for a life of knowing Jesus and living like Him.

DAILY QUIET TIME

Each Bible Institute student is given a quiet time devotional to cultivate a daily prayer and Bible reading. This daily devotional connects to a specific passage of Scripture and challenges students with two questions;

“What is the writer saying?” and “How can I apply that to my life?”

Students have uninterrupted time built into their schedule to spend quiet time with God each day.

DORM DEVOTIONS

Several nights each week, students and staff present a short Bible study for students in the dorm. This is an opportunity to grow in community with your hallmates as you discover what God is teaching each of you from His Word.

DEEPER DISCIPLESHIP

At Word of Life Bible Institute, we don’t just talk about discipleship; we are committed to it as an organization. Every student has the opportunity to sign up for a weekly discipleship group (“D-group”) with a staff member and two to three other students.

What is discipleship?

The biblical model of discipleship is all about multiplication (2 Timothy 2:2). As believers experience growth and mentorship through a more mature Christ-follower, they establish a strong foundation in Christ and become equipped to disciple others.

How does WOLBI do discipleship?

All students are given the option to be discipled in a D-Group with a staff member and 2-3 other students. Weekly meetings focus on five spiritual disciplines: Bible reading, journaling, Scripture memory, accountability, and prayer. Our ultimate goal with discipleship is to know Christ and live like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that our discipleship process will give students a method that can easily be reproduced wherever the Lord takes them.

How can I get involved?

Interested students can sign up using the form provided at the beginning of the school year. After the Student Life Department places them in a D-Group, a staff member will connect with the students to set up a weekly time to meet.

CAMPUS-WIDE WORSHIP

We believe that Christians are called to come together throughout the week to worship God publicly through singing, prayer, and Scripture study. That’s why we make campus-wide worship an absolute priority. Check out our campus-specific student life pages for a sneak peak at our student chapels, conferences, and more
