Student Right-to-know

COLLEGE TRANSFER

Up to two years of course work is recognized by several Christian colleges depending on the anticipated course of study and academic record.

CANCELLATION/TERMINATION/DISMISSAL AND REFUND POLICY

Students are not permitted to withdraw from the regularly scheduled courses of the Institute. Students may withdraw from electives before the second class without a penalty. Students withdrawing from the Bible Institute are required to see the Dean of Men/Women, Business Manager, and Registrar for processing. Failure to do so may result in the student being issued F’s for all coursework taken during the current marking period. Keys and ID cards need to be turned in at the time of withdrawal. When calculating the refund due to a student, the last date of actual attendance by the student is used in the calculation, unless earlier written notice was received. Should a student’s enrollment be terminated during the semester or cancelled for any reason, the school will issue refunds according to the following schedule:
First Week 100%
Second Week 85%
Third Week 70%
Fourth Week 55%
Fifth Week 40%
Sixth Week 25%

After the sixth week of the semester, no refunds are awarded for tuition, fees, and housing. Meals will be adjusted according to the remaining weeks in the billing period. All refunds will be processed within 30 days and forwarded either to the student’s permanent address or, in the case of student loans, to the lender. All federal, state, and institutional financial aid will be refunded according to current policies.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

Word of Life Bible Institute Retention Rate*^

Program 2024 - 2025 2023 - 2024 2022 - 2023 3-Year Average
2-Year Bible Diploma 34% 40% 43% 39%

*Retention rate is calculated from fall-to-fall based on first-time, full-time status. For our program, it is the percentage of first-time, full-time students who entered the freshmen year of the program in the fall who enroll the following fall in the sophomore year of the program.

^When retention rates are calculated including both first-time AND non-first-time full-time students, they often exceed 50%. Please note, students can graduate after one year with a Bible certificate and choose not to continue into the second year, which reduces conventionally calculated retention rates.

Word of Life Bible Institute Graduation Rates**

Program 2022 Cohort 2021 Cohort 2020 Cohort 3-Year  Average
Bible Certificate (1 year) or Diploma (2 years) 83% 81% 86% 83%

**The completion/graduation rates for our certificate and diploma programs are measured at 150% of the expected time for completion. The percentages are a combined percentage for students graduating with either a Bible Certificate (1 year of study) or a Bible diploma (2 years of study).
