The Bridge: May 17

Dear Parents and Guardians,  It is hard to believe that we are just days away from wrapping up our time in the classroom here for the 2021-2022 school year. At our recent mission’s conference, Pastor Paul Purvis said something to our students that has stuck with me. He said, “You are Acts 29. You are the next chapter.” Of course, the book of Acts only has 28 chapters. Believers like Peter, Stephen and Paul are in glory, and yet the mission of the church continues. God calls us; He is calling our students to continue the work of reaching this world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am excited to see what God does through our student body in summer ministry and beyond as He literally scatters them around the world to proclaim the good news. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, …

The Bridge: April 22

Dear Parents and Guardians,  Lately I have been struck by these words of a worship song: “Is He worthy? He is!”  On Easter Sunday we celebrated a risen Savior. Jesus is worthy of all honor and glory. I love being in chapel each week with our students and worshiping the Lord together with them. He is the only One worthy of our praise! “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”Revelation 4:11 Pray for MR and OAE Trips Next Friday is a big day for our Sophomores! We will be launching our Missions Reality Trips to Hungary, Czech Republic, the Navajo nation, Nicaragua, Panama, South Africa, and Wayumi. They will be gone April 28th-May 8th. Please be praying for safe and fruitful trips! May 4th -8th our freshmen will be going to New …

The Bridge: April 8

Dear Parents and Guardians, We recently read about Passover in the book of Exodus in our Quiet Time. I was struck by the measures necessary for a household to be passed over, and it reminded me of how eternally thankful I am for the Lord Jesus. He is the perfect Lamb of God who took the punishment of my sin on Himself! Through His shed blood, death and resurrection, I have been set free of my sin. He did all the work. Thank you, Jesus! “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1  Graduation Housing Graduation housing at The Pines is now open! The Bridge: March 25

Dear Parents and Guardians, Our campus came to life earlier this week when we welcomed students back from break! I know you miss having them at home, but we are thrilled to have them here again. Spring is making a grand entrance; the warmer weather has been causing the snow to melt rapidly! The reality that there are only two months of classes left before summer is beginning to sink in. Join us in praying that everyone stays focused to the end.   Easter Weekend As we look ahead to Easter weekend (April 15th-17th), we know many of your students will probably hope to go home. Since Easter is not an official school break, students will need to submit Special Permissions as usual and find replacements for anything they would be missing, i.e., their normal service assignment or Sunday service assignment. Those who would like to stay and celebrate on campus …
