SOPHOMORE PROGRAM
SOPHOMORE YEAR
Prerequisite: Complete Freshman Year at an accredited WOLBI teaching site.
WHY SOPHOMORE YEAR?
At Word of Life Bible Institute, we believe that the greatest investment you can make in your future is to become grounded in God’s Word and learn to apply it in daily life. Our Sophomore Year program will challenge you to build on your biblical foundation with rigorous coursework and classes focusing on technical, hands-on ministry skills. You’ll get to strengthen the friendships you formed in Freshman Year while gaining credits that will easily transfer toward an undergraduate degree.
If you want to take the next step in knowing and applying God’s Word, then Sophomore Year is for you.
Program Structure
Beyond the Classroom
Because the emphasis of Sophomore Year is ministry foundation, many more opportunities are provided for you to develop and strengthen your God-given gifts and abilities in Christian Disciplines III and IV.
One of the highlights for Sophomore Year is Missions Reality, which is part of the Cross-Cultural Studies course. This ten-day mission trip gives you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a ministry context either in the States or abroad. Your Missions Reality training will start at the beginning of the school year, as you learn how to raise support and prepare for the mission field. When you go on the trip, you will work alongside full-time missionaries to share the gospel and meet physical needs. Visit our ministry page to learn more.
