Completion of the Freshman Year Program
New York Campus
In addition to the ministry team opportunities of Freshman Year (see ministry teams HERE), sophomore students get to serve in community outreach, and weekly church ministry.
One of the most pivotal aspects of sophomore ministry is Missions Reality, an accredited course that includes training and hands-on experience on the missions field. Missions Reality begins in the fall semester, as students raise support and prepare for their selected mission trip (Missions Reality destinations may be in the US, or in another country where Word of Life has an established ministry).
At the beginning of the spring semester, sophomore students are placed in various leadership and service areas in winter camp ministry. Sophomore students build on what they’ve learned through past experiences to take their camp ministry to the next level.
During the month of April, Missions Reality teams embark on their ten-day mission trips to various locations around the world. While on the field, students work alongside full-time missionaries to serve in local churches, meet physical needs, and share the hope of Jesus.
