A Note from Brian

It is hard to believe another school year is upon us. We have been praying and preparing for your student to be here this fall, and I believe this will be an incredible year in their life. While we cannot manufacture spiritual growth, we can create an environment for growth and ask God to bring it about. Your student’s time in the classroom, experience in ministry, and relationships with faculty, staff, and one another will be extensive. We are here to support them (and you) through this process and watch to see what the Lord does. If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know. Check out Ephesians 3:20-21 as an encouragement from the Lord!

Welcome to The Bridge: Word of Life Bible Institute’s Parent Communication Blog

You may be aware that Word of Life has two Bible Institutes in the states. One is in Hudson, Florida, and the other is in Pottersville, New York. This blog will be written for both campuses to review the events from the previous month, inform you of future events, and provide information we believe is necessary for you to know about your student’s year at Word of Life Bible Institute.

In the coming weeks, we will introduce key departments with which your student will interact during the year. We will also provide contact information so you can get in touch with the best person for your needs. The Bridge will be published biweekly in September and October and will become a monthly update starting in November.

A Look at Our Summer Season

Word of Life is more than a Bible Institute – we also run camp! During the summer, we operate one youth camp in Florida and three youth camps in New York. Below are the total numbers from both properties.

Attendance: 8,328
Salvation Decisions: 1,066

Dedication Decisions: 5,325

On our New York campus, we also run a family camp called The Pines during the summer months. Below are the numbers from this season at The Pines:

Attendance: 3,115
Salvation decisions: 53
Dedication decisions: 364

Lastly, we had a team of staff and students dedicate their summer to open air evangelism ministry in various cities throughout the country. Here are the numbers from that ministry:

People who heard the gospel: 1,847
Salvation decisions: 122

We are so grateful for each of the students who poured into these ministry efforts during the summer months.
